Central Dalmatia 2027
Nestled along the Adriatic coast of Croatia, Central Dalmatia beckons travelers with its enchanting blend of stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters and rich cultural heritage. At its heart lies Split, the largest city in the region with a history spanning over 1,700 years. The region is naturally divided into three parts: the coastline, the islands and the inland Zagora. These subregions not only shape the landscape, but also the region’s way of life and gastronomy. On this relatively small geographic area, the division into subregions has resulted in a remarkably diverse culinary heritage, with each dish telling a story of its place and origin. Central Dalmatia is often referred to as a”Mediterranean as it once was” with an easy-going rhythm in both everyday life and in food. Here, traditional mealtimes, known as Marenda, are savored to the fullest, every bit and every sip of wine is cherished.
